Slackware 12.2 is out.

As many of you already know, Slackware 12.2 is out. If you read my last post you also know that I am not going to update any of the Slackware packages I used to build.
However during this Xmas Holidays I may be able to find the time to rebuild the dependency database used in "Slack with deps".
I hope that the few of you that are using it will appreciate the effort :)

Goodbye Slackware

After many years using Slackware and actively contributing to Slackware communities like linuxpackages.net, I decided to change distro.

The reason is that Slackware becomes "older" with any release, thus doesn't suit my needs any more.

I don't want to sound to harsh: I still think it is a good distro, and I am happy for each user that still finds Slackware the best distro around. It is only that I don't think it is the best match for me any more.

What does that mean for this small website? Well, not much: this is the place where I publish all the documents, scripts or code that I write and I think could be useful for other people. There is much more here than Slackware packages.

Besides I will continue to develop and support all the Slackware tools I wrote in the past, like requiredbuilder and repos.slapt. So if you find a bug or you miss a feature, drop me an email and I'll try to solve the problem, no matter what :)

New Blog

As you may have noticed there are not so many news lately, this is due to the fact that I have just moved to Pensacola, FL to work on my thesis, so as you can imaging I'm very busy at the moment.
But I promise: I'll bring back all the stuffs there used to be on the website, as soon as I can, and the first step towards this direction is creating a new blog!
